Local configuration

Allows local configuration of spans, zero adjustment, setting thresholds and switch trigger algorithms, choosing units of measurements for displays, accessing function libraries. You can locally configure a device with controls on its housing or through the digital interface using special software and equipment (adapter, HART modem, communicator, computer, etc.).

Outdoor housing

A special version of housing that allows mounting the device outdoors and protects it from weather and mechanical damage. Most compact transmitters can have such housing as an option and it is the default option for Ex versions of transmitters. Pressure transmitters with outdoor housing can have an integrated display (LCD or LED, depending on the model).

Exia, Exd

Explosion-proof design: intrinsically safe circuit (Exia) and/or flameproof enclosure (Exd).

HART, Profibus, Modbus, Fieldbus

Transmitters capable of sending measurements data over one or several of the mentioned protocols.

Precision

The accuracy of precision pressure transmitters is ≤0.1% of span; they almost completely ignore temperature effect and allow configuration of parameters.

Flush diaphragm

Transmitters designed to measure pressure of viscous and pasty media; feature special design of the pressure port.

Hygienic/sanitary

Certified devices designed for food and medical factories, as well as other spheres that make use of "clean" technologies, like chemical laboratories. Special design implies a diaphragm seal; fill liquid (silicone oil, halocarbon, edible oil) and diaphragm material (stainless steel, tantalum, titanium) vary depending on the technology requirements. Some models can have special food-grade mechanical connections (clamp, hygienic union, etc.) and/or hygienic design of the housing.

SIL (Safety Integrity Level)

Transmitters complying to the requirements of IEC 61508/61511, international European safety standard (certified). The standard describes four Safety Integrity Levels (SIL); they are applied depending on the severity of the consequences that may occur if the system is not functioning properly. Thus, SIL determine the acceptable risk for the system. They reflect the likelihood of the system discharging its safety-related functions properly.

Marine version

Transmitters designed to be used as part of technological processes automatic control and regulation systems at offshore facilities (platforms, vessels, etc.). Heavy-duty housing of corrosion-resistant steel or special alloys allows measuring pressure of corrosive gases and liquids under extremely severe operating conditions. Marine versions of transmitters boast high resistance to pressure overload, vibration, shocks and peaks, reliably operate in a wide temperature range and have high long-term stability. The transmitters were certified by Germany's Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Norway's Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Russian Maritime Register.
